Can someone help?

Im looking for a 512M or 1G micro SD flash card (transflash).

Wheres the best place to buy one?
Are there good and bad brands I should stay away from?
I see a lot of ebay sellers blowing them out... Is that risky at all?

My order of priority looks like this:

1- Cheap (the cheaper the better)
2- Reliable
3- read/write speeds are not important. So long as it is able to fully load / unload in 2-3 minutes via USB 2.0.

Thanks!!
All comments welcome!!

Check out tigerdirect.com

I believe 1 gig cards are $19.97.
512 mb cards are only $4.99!

*edit*
Post number 555! Only 111 left until I'm in that evil thread.

That would be my 2nd suggestion, but tigerdirect seems to be having sales on their cards lately. Tigerdirect does sometimes have absurd shipping costs, though.

Yea I haven't herd many good things about tigerdirect just the review at resellerratings makes me shutter...as opposed to Newegg's review

Newegg has an Adata 50x SD for $19.99 and 4.99 to ship....not sure how much you want to spend though...

The problem with eBay is they will sell the product cheap and then make it up with the shipping, double check the shipping they are charging if they don't list it email them and ask. I have some people charging upwards of $30 for regular first class shipping when I was looking for memory.

Edit::
Another good place is chiefvalues

I recommend Newegg definitely. Fast as heck shipping and customer service gets no complaints from me. Look for their rebate offers, as they always have something you want with rebates.

If you need it right now, check out Fry's. I went to my local Fry's and picked up a 2GB CF and 2GB SD card for $50 each. There are better prices out there on the Net but these are pretty good for a local retailer.

Newegg FTW. I can't wait for their Canadian store to be open.

The price drop on these cards is phenomenal. I paid $140 for a 2 gig card last year. Our local Frys has 2 gig Kingstons for $30.

Watch out for tigerdirects rebates, big scam, don't fall. Mail in rebates in general are bad, don't include them in the price of whatever you buy, because you may never get the rebate.
