Hey, was told to try the DIY forums.

I bought some CKS-77x over summer. The right ear connection is going bad, and now gives out unless I keep the wire a certain way.
I have new wire and a plug.
I want to re-cable, but have no idea how to disassemble.
Sent AT an email earlier, but wanted to know if anybody here has any idea how to get to the solder points on this thing. Looks like the only part to open it up would be the silver aluminum chamber part, but I don't know how to get that off.
The silver part rotates like half a millimeter left and right, but doesn't lift. I'm not sure if I should apply force pulling or rotating, and dont want to snap anything.
These are what I have: http://img-4.product.pchome.net/VtNIazJ_PNatzB/yy9/qyb/zBZK0DBUTGxP.jpg

ANY HELP WOULD ... well, help.

Thanks guys.

update: AT email response is no help.

I found a picture of a recabling on the CKS90 : http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb329/nekatrall/audio%20mods%20n%20headphones/IMGP6242.jpg
I contacted the guy, and he was friendly but doesn't remember exactly what he did.

Is there any physical damage done to the cable? Or is it just having the channel imbalance (1 side works, the other does't or lower volume) ?
If there is no sigh of physical damage done by you, then why not send an email telling them this issue and send back for warranty?
