If one would like a balanced XLR output and two RCA outputs on a digital source, what would one do on the inside? Should I buy a big switch, or use some sort of relay? Or can I just wire them all together from the output?

Yes, it is balanced. DAC is a Buffalo32S.

Honestly I don't know how.
I'de like to know how it compares to the DAC1. Time to start planning another meet.

Unfortunately, I am building it for somebody else. I think I'm just going to use a set of decent quality DPDT switches. If you check out the TPA website, he says the next round of pre-orders is coming up soon, and it'll be twice as big!
