Currently i am using Itunes with the foobar passthru and the transit set at 2in,2out 8KHz to 48KHz.

How do i get bit perfect/best sound quality to my number cruncher?

Also when i change songs, i get a clicking sound, is this normal?

If you are using a PC, you will never get bit-perfect using iTunes. Use Foobar2000 and ASIO.

In foobar2000, try using the limiters in the DSP section if you haven't gotten around to doing that. Which software build are you using for foobar2000? Are you applying replaygain? About ASIO, try using asio4all if foobar2000 won't interface properly.
