So I am looking to dip my toes into creating music digitally, just messing about but want competent and decent equipment... within my budget.
I will be using ableton suite 8, an m audio trigger finger and was looking at using this with a macbook pro 13" base model re 2.4 ghz dual core cpu and 250gb hdd.
Is this model of macbook pro a realistic choice for such a task or do I need something with a bit more beef?
I have heard that for video and graphical work a higher spec mac would be better, but could this macbook pro model deal with the demands of digital music production?
Cheers for any help, insights, advice etc anyone could offer.
Having never attempted anything like this before it is all new to me, so while it will be a set up to learn on, I also require it to be fully capable for the task at hand so it can accomodate the demands I place on it as my knowledge and requirements grow.
Cheers.
So what ya reckon, a 13" base model macbook pro upto the job?
