I have an old pair of headphones (Memorex cheapo) that have been cut and I was wanting to know if I could wire them back together. It looks like one side has a red wire and some loose wire and the other side has a white wire and some loose wire. Any suggestions?

What would you value your headphones at -- you know, dollar wise? Or do they have sentimental value? If not much for either, I'd tie the wires tightly around the phones and squeeze -- squeeze until they suffocate.

If you insist on repairing them, yes, you can wire them back together. Just connect the red with red and white with white. Strip each side down enough so that you can join them together tight -- don't half-arse it. Next, secure it with electrical tape.
