I have been trying for about 2 weeks to find a cable that has an inline mute switch for a microphone. In a perfect world, I would have all the standard iPod music controls, a mic and a mute switch for the mic.
I have been unable to find anything like this.
I'm using Sennheiser Amperiors and thought it would be easiest to just use the provided cable that has a mic and the iPod controls and just somehow build a short cable with a female 3.5'' on one end and a male 3.5mm on the other end that has an inline mute switch of some kind.
Problem is, I have no idea how I would even go about doing this. Can someone point me to a diagram that shows the wires running in a headphone cable with mic and iPod controls?
