Hey all I am currently trying to figure out what I should do to get my speakers working- it seems that so much equipment is very specific about what it is compatible with.
I am looking to get something similar to this
 
USB DAC > Amp/cross over for my sub (at least 250w RMS into the sub) > Amp for speakers (at least 75w RMS) > Bookshelf speakers
                                                                                    
 
Any suggestions on potential parts I should use for the amps/dac/crossover?

What components do you already have (brand/model #) and what is your budget?

I have a Fiio E7 and was thinking of buying the L7 (a$10) attachment which would give me line-out

If you need 75w RMS for your bookshelves, this Dayton supplies that and has a built-in crossover.
 
For your sub, this BASH 300W is an option.
 
I'd check out Monoprice for interconnects and speaker wire.
