Hello fellow head-fiers, I was trying to make my line in cable this afternoon and as I was trying to solder the wires to the Canare F12's, I ran into some problems. My question is can someone please tell me how to make the solder connections on the F12, it's very frustrating.

in general you just strip the wires, the middle conductor goes to the tip, so that is left i believe (chart herehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS_connector), put the stripped wire through the hole then solder it and cut, same for the left.

for the ground (ring) i usually get some solder and melt it into a little puddle on the contact that has the strain relief on it, then tin(solder) the tip of the ground wire (actually tin all wires) and melt into the pool.

as always keep a clean tip, i usually dont use flux but it might help if you are desperate
