Hi All,

I'm trying to understand the following LPF (taken from a service manual of a sony discman).



Given this schematic, any my lack of understanding of low pass filter design, when I've tried to use online tools to look at the response and analysis I'm getting a sharp drop off at before 9K.

Question 1) Am I correct in my understanding?
Question 2) I'm getting more curious around modelling filters - any recommendations for tooling to look at?

So I'm wondering about the accuracy of the schematic from the service manual.

The following is a simulation if, indeed, the 10K resistor is correct.

And, the second is if the resistor is a 1K
