Yamaha Pro500 with Monoprice DAC/amp combo.
I used to be able to boost 30hz using AIMP3 player but all of a sudden I get crazy static with any kind of increase even at low volumes, even a slight +3db. This happens at any bass frequency. At first I thought I blew up the headphone drivers but I can boost it +24db in regular windows settings with no distortion. Windows media player also plays clear with 30hz boosted at max. So far the problem was reproduced with MusicBee player and AIMP player. Recently reinstalled windows 10 but not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.
anyone have a clue what's going on? thanks
edit: deleted everything under audio in device manager then redownloaded AIMP3 player and now it seems fine. Not sure what the issue was. maybe my amp wasn't plugged in good and was clipping. really no clue what happened.
