Saw the reviews on some Chinese websites. Its kinda interesting how the popular Chinese amps here lack review on Chinese websites, or not very widely known.

I'm also gonna look at some reviews on the LD mk4, that one seems very promising too, and the price isn't bad either.

Alright, after doing research for a couple of hours, I think I will go with one of the following:

1) Little Dot Mk IV
2) Hifiman EF5
3) La Figaro 332c http://www.audiophilechina.com/manag...2151427310.jpg

Isn't the 332c a tube amp? But what are those black 'poles' in the picture? And the 332c looks a lot different compared to the other 332s I've seen, is there a complete cosmetic makeover?

So if my goal is to have K701 have the widest soundstage and details, which of the 3 amps should I pick?
Thanks a lot in advance!

332s superrior than 332c. They are all tube amp. That black poles are covers for tubes. I din't listen myself, but many users say k701 is not so good with otl tube amps and some people says they have excellent synergy.

May be hifiman ef5 could be a better choice.(This choice is my current problem too)

There is a camp of people who say that OTL amps are a bad match for the K701's because of the headphones low impedance. To my ears, the LD MkIV + K701 combination sounds great. Some people knock the AKG's for being too bright or harsh. A tube amp can help tame the highs a bit, and allow for tube rolling if you are interested in tweaking the sound to a degree. You can always go with a transformer coupled tube amp like the WooAudio WA6. There are folks who say this is the best way to go tubes with the K701's. So as you can see its very much user preference and there is no "best match."

I'd really do a little more research on the Audio-GD C2C amp. I am personally saving for their Phoenix balanced preamp/headphone amp, but I'll still probably hold onto my LD.

Take a look at the Shanling PH100. I bought it on a hunch, i think it sounds nice but.. I have nothing better to compare to. Read up on the thread, a lot of people in there seem to like it paired with the K701

I've narrowed my choice on amps down to 3, between the Heed Canamp, Shanling PH100, or the Shanling PH300. I will probably jump on the first one I see a good deal on. It seems as no one has owned both the PH100 and PH300 with the K701s so I'm not sure which one really fits the bill better.
