Hey guys,

I'm just making this thread here to ask you guys what you would recommend me for a good DAP with the features that I am after, as listed below.

  1. Supports Micro SD or SD
  2. Has a nice UI that is dark in colour
  3. Cheap (Around the $200 mark)
  4. Good Sound Quality
  5. Performs nicer amped
  6. Coloured screen of decent size (Not Clip small, but like iPod Nano 3G size)
  7. Physical buttons (Touch screen is okay as long as it has buttons)
  8. Good/decent battery life of at least 10 hours
  9. Not a Sansa product
  10. Compact/small size around 8cm long
  11. Can have the UI customizable

That's pretty much the main features that I would fancy in a mid-fi DAP. There might be a few more features that I have forgotten about, but I guess we could work around the provided information.

If you are able to help, I'll thank you in advance:)

Cheers.

I'm not sure about the UI requirements or the exact size.... but have you seen the Fiio X3? There is a huge thread or two that should be easy to find.

They are a little hard to come by at the moment but it shouldn't be long before you can get your hands on one.

Good luck.

Yes, I have seen and heard about the X3 from FiiO.

I've read through the thread, and although it had my interest for a bit, I was then turned away after I read this impression on Headfonia.
http://www.headfonia.com/first-impression-fiio-x3-dap/

From what I read, it just turned out to be a standard DAP, nothing too special, and I'm not much of a fan of the UI.

Nevertheless, thank you for the suggestion, and I'll keep that in mind!
