I bought a Weller WTCPT soldering station/iron a couple months ago from a store in California called ITC Electronics. I bought it with the intention of making some DIY guitar pedals, but recently I bought an Ear+ Purist kit and that was the first time this summer that I plugged this thing in and got cracking.
Except it doesn't heat up.
It's plugged in fully, the tip is inserted fully, and the iron is fully connected to the base station. It's supposed to take 30 seconds to heat up. Mine doesn't at all.
Is there some secret trick to getting these things to work, or will I be forced to get an exchange of this product after having it sit in the box for 2 months?
