Help setting up E-MU 0404

I figured out some more information on my problem. In the Control Panel, Windows will succeed in playing the test tone only with 44.1 kHz. For the encoded formats like Dolby Digital and DTS audio, nothing at all plays, though i think the 0404 supports them. With other sample rates, it says that the device is being used by another application and then it fails to play the test tone.

Foobar actually will play music, though I haven't tested it with ASIO yet. Winamp won't play anything at all anymore, even with Directsound.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm still not getting sound out of my browser.

What browser are you talking 'bout? IE? FireFox? ??

I have zero issues w/ my 0404 USB no matter which player I use (never tried DTS/DD pass through option). While writing I'm listening from myspace through FireFox browser.

Since I have several audio interfaces in my system, I have set the E-MU 0404 USB as preferred system audio device when it's in use ti get audio from sources like WMP/browser plug-ins.

Non-ASIO players needs to be set to use Default audio device for output or it's needed to select E-MU drivers from playback device list on software audio options.

Remember that in case of E-MU USB, you can't use S/PDIF I/O w/o using ASIO. This is a limitation.

You could try TRAKTOR player listed in my signature. It supports native ASIO (no need for plug-ins).
