I have a Denon DL-110 cartridge on my Technics SL-1200mkii; on certain: "SS" sounds, cymbals, and treble notes I get this incredibly rough and harsh almost grating sound that clearly stands out against the rest of the music, but ONLY through the right channel. Early on in owning the turntable I had to get part of it rewired because one channel was dead (can't remember which channel) but that didn't fix the issue. I've tried adjusting the angle of the cartridge in the headshell, adjusting weight and anti-skate as well as trying different phono stages (3 stages were tried all to no avail).
Is this an issue with the cartirdge, the tone arm or wiring? Any suggestions?
