So I'm trying to rip CDs to WAV in EAC and even though I type artist and album title in the EAC boxes the files don't have that information.

Is there an easy way to rip via EAC while keeping the artist and album title?

If not, is there a way to write that information to the files (I tried via foobar but unlike flac, it won't let me change the properties of the files).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okey dokey.

From what I've gathered I can first burn a cue sheet then burn the wav.

Then foobar will recognize the cue sheet and associate the files.

Then I can convert the cue sheet associated wavs to mp3s through foobar to get mp3 copies.

EAC -> EAC Options -> Filename

Verify that the generic naming scheme is what you want.

***

Database -> Get CD Information From -> Remote freedb

This will automatically fill in the appropriate file name values. You'll need to fill in your e-mail address in EAC -> freedb / Database Options first.

***

EAC -> Compression Options -> Waveform

Enable ID3 tag.

***

EAC -> Compression Options -> ID3 Tag

This will allow you to configure how the tags are entered.

***

In order to have the ID3 tags in the MP3s, it might be a good idea to setup EAC to generate the MP3s instead of doing it afterward.

Its well worth setting up EAC properly, its no better than any other ripper unless you are using the proper settings with test AND copy.

Some options can become personal preference after a while. For instance with 0.99 the accuraterip.dll is there from the start, I delete it. I also dont use their suggested read offset, as its wrong.
