I seem to have a strange problem with the Voyager which I purchased a couple of months back. Everytime I switch on the amp, I can actually hear the thing power up (maybe capacitors charging up). Anybody exprience this?

Also, I get a very nasty crackle everytime I connect my earphone to the amp. This is very strong the first time it is powered up and seems to gradually come down in intensity aftersome time.

Is this normal or is the amp dying on me??

Thanks in advance!!

There is a noise as you power up the amp, I actually liek this noise and do the same with my tube amp just to hear the valves clatter into warmth. I know the voyager isn't a tube amp, but it has been recorded elsewhere about this turn on noise and is perfectly fine as far as I am aware.

Plugging the headphones in always makes some sort of discharge-y noise no matter what amp they go into, perfectly normal.
