I'm not a hardcore audiophile however, I'm looking for a budget player. My library totals 15k tracks and is about 12k MP3 and about 3k FLAC I am trying to grow the flac side of things.

My only needs:

I'd like something that can stabilize the sound so if one track was recorded at a lower volume than the next I don't have to constantly fiddle with adjusting the volume.
SD or MicroSD acceptance of 128gb+ I already have a 128gb evo sd card but full size sd are cheaper so can go that route or a converter.
Under $100 that can play FLAC, MP3 etc, I don't have any FLAC over 24bit
Shuffle, with a decent randomize algorithm as I play 99% of the time random.
Semi durable, it's will be used for the majority in my car and will stay there almost 24/7 unless I take it to workout with.
Easy to use UI but not picky.
Decent battery life not demanding DAYS of replay.
Would like as cheap as possible without getting junk as $100 is pushing my max budget.
Doesn't even have to be new I'm fine with used.

I was considering the FiiO X1-II as it has bluetooth but seems to have issues with the firmware and needs a bit of fine tuning to be super reliable.

I appreciate any and all responses.

EDIT:
I do have an old Ipod Classic 160gb 6th or 7th gen but want drag and drop, no rockbox, and away from the apple ecosystem, doesn't support FLAC, and don't want to mess with converting to ALAC.

Xduoo X3, guessing that is as good as you can do, for your budget.

Install the Rockbox firmware.

Thanks, do you know anywhere selling it for less than 110? I assume it has better usability and features than that of the X1-II. Also does it need rockbox for any particular reason?

Rockbox usually adds features (thru firmware), over factory stock firmware.
The FiiO X1 Gen II and Xduoo X3 (Rockboxed or stock) are really about the only choices, I can think off, for your budget.
Guess you would need to do some in-depth research yourself, so which offers you more of what you want.

You might check out the website anythingbutipod.
The website is dedicated to DAPs.

Massdrop sometimes offers the Uduoo X3, otherwise buy it off eBay, or maybe Amazon.
