Hello all,
Im looking at getting my first higher end DAP. Im coming from a Cowon Z2 player.
I've narrowed it down between the Ibasso DX90 and the fiio x5.
My headphones are:
Maddogz
Bose Quietcomfort 15.
I would like the player to be able to power the maddogz without the use of an external amp (i do own an ibasso d6 but would rather not carry that around at work and messing with charging etc.
The X5 a few reviews here have mentioned concerns on its audio quality, regarding soundstage specifically. The DX90 is maybe a tad on the expensive side for me with a 128gb microsd.
The advantage i would give to the X5 would be the dual memory card support as my music library is rather large.
One key thing i would like is decent playlist support, audio quality on both internal DACs and on the digital out.
Would an X5 using the digital out and an amplifier be a cheaper and equal solution to the DX90?
Are there portable amps/dac combos that compare to the ibasso i also have?
