Hi,
I've been looking for a portable headamp for a while now, and still very indecisive as to how I should built it.
1) 1455C8 (credit card size) with pimeta on protoboard(s) stacked; and battery (preferred)
2) 3-channel cmoy style in 1455C8 (on headwize; is it better than a mint?)
3) 1455K12 (1.67" height) with the normal pimeta board and a layer of AAA/AA beneath the board (this should be doable)
I'd prefer #1 if it's even possible (and w/o resorting to smd; but prob ugly w/wires flying everywhere). Otherwise, it's a toss between #2 and #3, depending on #2's sound quality.
I tried laying it out on gEDA & Eagle, but haven't had much luck in using the s/w. Any experienced diy'ers with more insights?
My headphone is a 120ohm K-501 that I've got from another head-fi'er.
Thanks!
