Hi everyone

I am very new to this audiophile community, currently I feel somewhat overwhelmed with the amount of products and information. My situation is that I need to purchase a complete system, including cd player, headphone amp and headphones including quality interconnects. My current budget is around $2500. Presently regarding cd players I am looking at the Linn Karik, Numerik combo (2nd hand ebay) also with regards to amps, the Ray Samuels Raptor aswell as the Earmax pro and the Graham Slee solo are interesting me, moreover I have practically decided that the HD650 will indefinetly be the headphones that I purchase. Any help will be much appreciated, also I am not to sure of what the Linn Numerik DAC does, does you connect your headphone amp to the Numerik DAC or the Karik cd player I am totally confusedhttp://www4.head-fi.org/forums/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=1481783#. Furthermore I enjoy a diverse range of music however I listen to rock the most. Also guys is an SACD player a better option than a cd player and are they compatible with headphone amps http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/editp...1481783#Please reply guys with some suggestion and advice as I don't want to make a costy error.

If I had my way again (that is, if I could start from scratch again), I would stick with a Musical Fidelity headphone amp and CD set up, with interconnects and power cables from AUDUSA. Simple, effective, best value.
