Hello first do you guys think a schiit lyr amp will be good for dt990 600ohms?
Next, ill have to buy a dac right?? if i dont want it to bottle neck my set up.... i will have to buy like a 300$ version correct?
 
if so i don't think ill be able to afford this. dt 990 300$, amp 340$, and a 300$ dac!?!?!?!
 
 
 
Please help me, and ill take suggestions for different amps as well, since i don't know the best for my headphones

I have the DT 880 / 600. It plays well with the Schiit Valhalla 2. I use the Modi 2U, but if you want to spend more, then go for the Bifrost or Bifrost Multibit.

Also some people (non audiophiles) are telling me im not going to hear a difference????? why do they say that lol. Do you think the difference between m50s, and a 600-800 dollar set up will be a ton better?

I have my DT990s 600Ohms and DT880s 600Ohms paired with a Maverick D2 Dac with the tube upgrades (~249) using with Little Dot MKIV amp. The quality is pretty detailed for me to tell the quite conspicuous difference between the two sets of cans. I understand the recessed mids of 990s better.
