I don't like the e6's bass boost. It just adds too much warmth.

uhh that is because it's a bass boost... what do you expect it to do lol

but granted it's not the best. You can try the E11 for $20 more [total of $55]

The XB series have some really muddy bass to my ears and I can't take it any longer than a song :xf_eek: but I do see it is targeted for extreme bass head who wants big bass and do not mind anything else

As for UE4000, the bass is pretty powerful, tight and deep. It is also very punchy to my ears. The mids are very detailed although the highs does sound darkish

Okay, so I bought the UE4000 and it first I didn't like them.
My iPod Nano 7G isn't providing enough power in my opinion.
When I used it with my HTC Sensation XE with an equalizer it sounded WAY better.
But I still don't think the bass is "fat" enough.
I'm used to the bass of my Sennheiser CX300-II.
I love the bass on these but the highs and mids do get ignored a bit because of that.
I'm looking for a pair of headphones that has this fat bass that my CX300-II has got, but also the crisp and clear mids and highs.
I just ordered the Fiio E6 amplifier, and I hope this will solve my problem, but if it won't, then I might return these.
Does anybody have any more suggestions?
