Hello,
I have a PC where i'm using 3 x 3.5mm connectors to a Logitec X-540 setup. This is just for the bedroom so i don't want to go OTT with large expensive solutions so here's what i'm looking for.
2 sources:
XBOX 360 optical toslink
PC 3 x 3.5mm (or i can convert them to RCA using the usual adaptors)....going to check if i have an optical port on my board i can't remember at the moment...
Ouptut to:
Logitech X-540 which has 3 x 3.5mm inputs
Using optical to get surround sound out of an xbox 360 means i'd need to have something to decode the signal as i think that uses Dolby pro logic for the 5.1
Now i've found a couple of possible solutions:
http://www.teufel.de/en/electronic/decoderstation-5.html
Nice bit of kit but as it's more of a whim thing i was hoping to not pay more than £60
The other thing i found was the now discontinued Creative DDTS-100
Can people confirm this would suit the setup i'm trying to create or possibly suggest alternative equipment/brands for what i'm trying to do.
Thanks in advance guys.
Pete
