I'm going to be setting up an old Denon 30P turntable (my first TT) and I have no idea whatsoever on how to adjust the anti-skate. The only tools I have are force gauge and protractor. Any advice would be extremely appreciated!

Rule of thumb is to set anti-skate equally to VTF. its a good starting point if nothing else.

The problem comes from the fact that different stylus profiles have different friction in the groves and accordingly the skating force is different for pretty much every cartridge. Just like VTF set it according to rule of thumb and tune by ear.

If your nervous, getting anti skate right is not anywhere near as important as VTF. Spend LOTS of time experimenting with different VTF settings. Relatively small changes in VTF make a difference, where large changes in anti-skate make very little.
