Help me with search for the ideal portable phone

Just when I thought it was about time to make a trip to the local guitar center, this new vs old batch thing rears its ugly head and I am kinda scared to bite

Today, I have spotted a deal pretty good deal on HD25-1 in FS forums, $115 shipped. How much extra are the OFC cables gonna add up to that?

To reiterate my priorities
1)good sound quality with warm mids and (hopefully) no sibilance
2)isolation - the main use will be commuting to and from my classes in my footmobile and running on treadmills or around the track. Might take this home use it on bus/subway/airplane rides as well. At any rate, since for most part I will be using it outside so isolation definitely matters.
3)portability - although I have had some experiences lugging around HD-580 outside

I would prefer having something with smaller footprint; it doesnt really bother me all that much, but better off without unwanted attention from random people.

In the end it comes down to 3 choices :
1)get the used HD25-1 and hope the OFC cables are reasonably priced and cure the sibilance they are known for
Probably best SQ out of all, though they seem to have close to no soundstage upon some research. Main question s here are a)whether they isolate well enough b)whether SQ improvement over E2C gonna be worth $$$ and less portability.

2)wait for a used pair of e2c or order new from buy.com
I have seen one go for $40 shipped couple of days ago... according to reviews and impressions by other head-fiers, these canalphones might match my tastes - warm sound with rolled-off highs. I was leaning towards this like 80% before I saw that post on HD25-1.

3)get a HD-201 for the amazing value
worse than the first two in every aspect, but price/performance ratio cannot be beat. again, isolation is in question and the fact it is yet another FOM bothers me midly (there is a chance they are overhyped)

Any ideas? #2 seems to make most sense, but #1 is really tempting

sorry I keep bumping my thread, but I really need a jogging/commuting headphone soon! my long walks to classes have never been this boring, and lack of workout music also serves as yet another excuse for not going to gym to work out.
of course there have been some dozen+ threads on this topic with similar questions, and I read or participated in posting in most of those threads recently. in my case tho, I have clear cut criteria and I am quite close to making my final decision. interestingly, my candidates are pretty much in-line with bangraman's suggestions in other threads.

Audio-Technica FC7/Creative HQ1700(same thing) or Audio-Technica ES5, you'll find plenty about them if you search these forums.

I just received my HD 25-1. All I can say is wow!!. These cans sound better than my old HD595

Especially rock music sounds so much more alive. Highly recommended.

personally in your circumstance I'd go for the e2c, especially if you're going to be using them for the gym as well. And honestly, you can't go wrong spending $20 on a pair of 201s. Their isolation and sound are excellent for their price bracket, and it never hurts to have a pair of closed beater cans around. Try them out, you'll be pleasantly surprised like I was.
