I'm using perreaux shx1 for my k701 and thinking about getting hd650 or sa5000. I like to ask head-fi about "is my shx1 good enough to amp above cans or upgrade my amp?". If upgrade, any suggestions?

The Perreaux should do fine with either of these phones. If you are happy with its sound with your K701 you should save your money.
