This summer I made a big mistake and sold my Denon D2000s.  I had tried multiple headphones including; Beyerdynamic DT880, 770, 990 DT-150, AudioTechnica AD700 that I remember of the top of my head.  I really liked the DT880s but Denon D2000 was by far my favorite and of course it's now discontinued.

I mostly use them for gaming, some light music and an occasional movie.

I really liked:
The soundstage for a closed back headphone.
The bass was great.
The leather ear pads were awesome (DT880 velour was 2nd fav)
I also really liked the loose fitting headband.  I'm sensitive to clamping.  The Beyerdynamic "Pro" versions clamp way too much for my liking.
Nice professional look.
large, open ear cups (I have big ears).

I've tried replacing my old headphones with a pair of Sennheiser 518 and they are great for the money, but I miss my old cans.

Please help me find a replacement!  Right now I'm eyeing:
the Sony MDR-1R since you can nab them for under 200.00
the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x
Sennheiser HD600? - starting to exceed what I'd like to spend.

Any other thoughts or recommendations?  Thanks in advance.

Edit: Sorry didnt read the whole post haha, you might want to look into the D600, I currently own this headphone and I am happy I got it over the D2000. You should also check the For sale section here on head-fi you might find someone selling a D2000.
