So I noticed that the right speaker is sounding very fuzzy, especially when it comes to low frequencies. Anyway, looking at the headphones, a piece on the inside of the earcup has moved dramatically. The shiny, disk shaped piece that is supposed to be lined up with the earcup has moved down, and is loose I believe.

So how can I open up these babies and repair them?

remove earpads by tearing them simply off. Unscrew six small bolts, remove driver, fix the displacement of the metal grid. Re-attach the driver, screw the small bolts tight, place the earcup and push firmly towards the earcup in several places. All four fixing points have to click, then it's ready to use.
