Hello folks, I have an Hifiman HM602 obviously for several years, bought new when it came out!
I love this little DAP even if it has several flaws. I does one thing I can’t get over and it is the sound signature when listening to jazz music.
So I would now like to move to something more modern but I don’t have the option to listen to anything, I have to order blind based on comments.
My budget is about $1000 usd, would probably go up to $1300 if I find the jewel! I’m not picky function wise, sound is my only criteria, as long as it sounds better than HM602 in a similar sound signature, solid bass, lovely mids, no aggressive highs, very musical!
For years I was waiting on Hifiman to come up with a new non oversampling DAC DAP but the reviews on the new Red DAP are kind of disapointing. The new A&K SA700 seems tempting but not much info yet.
Anyway, any of you who are or were HM602 lovers would have a suggestion for me?
