Hi all,
I wasn't sure if this thread should go here. Mods, move it if you feel it is necessary.
I have a wonderful streaming setup: an Airport Express connected to a non-upsampling DAC via optical cable. This is all hooked up to a Marantz 2225 receiver and Dynaco speakers. I love, love, LOVE this setup.
Recently however, I've noticed while playing music, the volume will come in/out, or sound distorts a bit. Sometimes it pops. I just checked my speaker connections, and some were loose, so I tightened them all up. Still, it keeps happening.
I've had an optical cable "fail" on me before, so I wonder if perhaps this one is on it's way out? What else could it be? I hope it's not my beloved speakers
