can any 1 recommend some gaming headsets that will plug into a xbox 360 and plug into an ipod

what i want
Over the ear headsets
removable mic or retractable mic
can plug into a xbox 360 and an ipod plug
has to have good sound in game and out of game on ipod


headphones that i was looking at

Astro a40 with the audio system
turtle beach x-52
Steelseries Siberia ver. 2

please recommend others

Senheiser HD595 with Astro mixamp and a wrap around mic or a zalman clip on mic. The gaming headsets are terrible but the Mixamp is not a bad little device and is what gives you the connectivity to the Xbox.

You could also try the Senheiser PC350.

The above combination would give you better sound quality for slitely less money than the Astro system.

gaming headphones as i see them are all bad 5.1 just makes them worse steel series has bad drivers

Those so called gaming headphones are utter garbage for music. Fragtality's little mod will give you headphones that will dominate any gaming headphone for music playing. The AD700 will also blow away the others for gaming as well.

You would plug the headphones into your stereo or TV and then you would need to buy an adapter like this.....

And then u just plug it into an iPod for music..... How bout the Siberia ver 2 are those okay for listening to music. And if it was a sound quility battle between siberia ver 2 and the AD700 which 1 would win.... Does Siberia ver2 come with an xbox apdapter. Lol because the Siberia looks better then the AD700s lol

Looks rarely mean anything. And all of those 5.1 gaming headphones will suck for music. All of them. "Any gaming headphone" vs AD700. Winner AD700.

because i want the chat and game sound all to be on 1 pair of headset?
