Hi all,
I'm looking for a pair of decent IEMs, mostly for home use (studying at night). The source is an iMac or iPod Touch 4th gen. Music is mainly prog-rock and electronica, however I want something universal. What I like is clear, detailed, warmish to natural and dynamic sound, with deep, layered soundstage. Good bass is highly appreciated. What I don't like is bright, lean, cold and analytical sound. The budget is up to $300-350 (the lesss the better). Oh, and one more thing - they must not hiss!
Currently I use MEE M11 and enjoy them for outdoor use. However, they are a bit too bright, slightly harsh in highs and slightly too lean for me. And they hiss, which I really despise when listening at night at low levels.
What I'm thinking about is Etymotic ER-4P (will they fit my needs?), but I'm sure there are plenty others to consider.
Thanks for any help,
Adam
