Help me choose In Ear Less than $150

Hi,
 
I'm looking to buy some new earphones as my current ones after a few years are now losing sound on the right ear due to the 3.5 jack being old and giving it crap connection.
 
My current earphones are the Sony MDR XB40EX which i've been very happy with due to their strong base however they can get uncomfortable due to their bulkiness.
 
I also own a pair of Shure SE420's which i picked up cheap off ebay brand new as an unwanted gift ($100!).  these sound amazing however they are very lacking in low end for my taste even with the 'comply' foam tips.
 
I love the comfort of the comply foam and the isolation of them are incredible,  I mainly use them for when im flying now.
 
Basically, I want something with the sound quality, clarity, comfort and isoltion of the Shures but the punchy base of the Sonys.
 
Looking at spending less than $150 but if strongly recommended i'm happy to go a bit over. (I'll happily buy offline or on ebay if new and cheaper)
 
Any help is greatly appreciated, as i'm struggling to choose through my research.

Klipsch X10 isolate very well and feel great! Also sound great and have enough bass! If you want pretty good isolation, Not bad, treble and mids, but a lot of bass you can go for the Bowers & Wilkins C5! Unfortunately they're just a bit over 150 at $179. Their loop fits pretty well for most people. (It's in my avatar)

thanks for the reply,  the x10's cheapest i can find are about 185 which is a bit expensive and unfortunately i dont like the over the top of the ear stuff. prefer just to drop down.
 
i've heard the x10's are good though.

The R50 have punchy bass, but not a ton of it. I think the TF10's may be right up your alley. They have strong bass and fast highs, but have issues with fit.

Yeah the X10's and the TF10s are def possibilities at the prices listed on amazon.

looking at comparison reviews i think i'll go the tf10's over the klipsch as general concesus says they **** on them.
 
Major question though,  im not a bit fan of the cable going over my ear,  are they just as comfortable/do they isolate just as well if you leave them hanging straight down?

One of the TF10's biggest downfalls (actually, it's only downfall) is it's comfort. They're really awkwardly shaped, which makes it difficult to get a comfortable fit. 
 
However, the sound that they produce is amazing. Rich, detailed, wide soundstage, along with a nice V-shaped sound signature. It's sonic capabilities are quite delicious.

so if i try to have them angled with the cord going downwards it wont be comfortable at all?  can anyone confirm this?
 
would they be much more comfortable if i buy some complyfoam tips?

For me, they're hardly comfortable in any position, but they sound so damn good that I contend with it. Some people do find them comfortable, and you very well could be one of them. Comfort is more of a  subjective concept, so it's kind of hard to say. Just like I find my Etymotic HF5 really comfortable with stock tips while quite a few people don't.
