Ive been reading alot on this website and have come to the following headphones:

Ultrasone HFI-2200
Beyerdynamic DT 990
Sony MDR-SA3000
AKG K701 or K702
Denon D2000
In the 200-350$ Price Range

I will be mainly listening to trance music and a little gaming, as well as producing trance music/mixing.

I currently am using onboard sound on my PC, but may switch to a dedicated sound card soon or getting an amp in the future. The PC will be my main source, but occasionally i will listen to my Ipod Touch.

Any information on which headphone is right for me would be helpful as well as any other recommendations. Also, what other Ultrasone headphones are good for trance?

Have in mind that some of these headphones need an amp, and even a good source (DAC) to perform at their best. I would say it is waste of money to buy the AKG K701, without having it paired with a decent amp/source.

I think the Denon sound quite good without an amp. With your budget you could also go for a amp+dac+headphone solution. The Alessando MS1 is a great deal ($99) and there are a couple of cheap (but good) amp/dac combo's out there.
