Hey guys,
I will soon be selling my 400is to a friend and want a nice upgrade. I would like an open design, I like fun headphones, nothing to analytical. I have ~$800(USD) to spend and was looking at getting an Audeze LCD-2. Would this be a substantial upgrade for my money? Or is there another set of cans I don't know about that I should go for. I have a Xonar Essence STX as my DAC/Amp.
As a side question, would getting an external DAC/Amp give me anything over the Xonar or is that sufficient for most needs.
