Hi, i building pimeta...

I have a problem: too loudly plays.
A potentiometer on 50K.

I twist the handle on 5-8 degrees and it is already very loud (headphones Sennheiser HD280Pro). OPALR BB2134PA, OPAG BB134PA, PSU TREAD 18V. R1 - 4300Ohm, R3 - 1KOhm, R5 - 3300Ohm. And when touch a potentiometer headphones buzzing. If to switch off music and to unscrew loudness on a maximum the background buzzing vanish.

Prompt, whether it is necessary for me to increase resistance R1? And also R3 and R5 (R1 = R3+R5)? The New potentiometer has already ordered, will be alps on 100K.

Temperature of OPALR in normal - 39 degress C.

THX.

You are going around lowering the volume the wrong way. Going from a 50k to 100k pot wont do it, what you need to do is lower the amplifier's gain, which is calculated by (R4/R3)+1. All you need to do is replace the R4L and R4R with something smaller.

You may have wired the pot in backwards. I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. The volume changes from 0 to 1 and then its full volume all the way to 10- right?

Try swapping the wires on the pot- input for output.

Hi All!

I replaced R4L and R4R from 10Kohm to 5Kohm. And replace noname
pot 50K to "Piher" 10K.

It became better, i.e. on the maximal loudness to suffer a sound it is possible. However the background buzzer up to the end has not left. But if to unscrew pot on a maximum it vanishes! The potentiometer is soldered with lengthening wires.

Prompt please that else it is possible to look?
