Howdy all -
Finally... I have time to install some custom cups from Martin!!
SR60's have Mahogany mushrooms
SR225's have Bocote mushrooms
Both had partially liberated drivers... I ran into some difficulties
fully liberating the SR60's (which are practice for the SR225's)
Ugh.. these videos make this operation seem simple

Where I ran into trouble was after using the file to cut the
plastic housing. In both these videos the plastic housing
ring separates from the driver quite easily. Mine did NOT.
What ended up happening is the driver separates quite
easily from the plastic... but without the plastic grill cover.
The grill cover remains firmly attached to the housing and
is a complete bear to separate. I don't see glue or anything
to indicate that these two pieces were ever meant to be
separated.
I managed to get one of the plastic grill covers free from the
housing without too much damage... but the other is a complete
bear and is already damaged quite badly.
If the 60's were so difficult, I'm really concerned about how this
will go with the more expensive 225's.
ANY advice or tips on how to complete this procedure would be
GREATLY appreciated!! I hate working with plastic arrghh!!
Anyone else have this issue? Will the 225's be easier than
the 60's?
Thanks for your time!
