Help! Is this a piece of dirt down the nozzle of my IEM or is the actual driver?

Is it normal for the driver to have like a small and centrally located circular metallic thing and what looks like a dark membrane around that metallic circular thing?

Does the actual driver of your IEM look like this? (I have a dynamic speaker design IEM, btw...)

Or is this a piece of debris down the nozzle and should I try to remove it?

A pic of the nozzle and model of the IEM in question would help a lot in helping you out.

Going on a hunch, i would think that removing it would result in the driver completely blowing out

my atrios have a central metal thing, I believe it is a filter covering the driver itself since there is no other filter visible.
I wouldn't worry, any attempts to remove it would probably make things worse if its not causing any trouble to begin with.
