I just got a brand new senn hd600 from an online dealer. but I found that the original box and the plastic bag for instruction are both unsealed. is this the way it supposed to be? how can I tell whether it is brand new?

My D5000s did not have a tape seal or anything when they arrived, but they came from an authorized dealer who orders from Canada's national Denon dealer or something like that.

A lot of headphones come that way these days.

Those "higher price" headphones don't usually sell in the store, why go through those blister package? In fact, some on-line vendor don't have physical inventory, they link their system directly to manufacturers; manufacturers ship them directly to us.

I'm sure they're fine if they are an authorized dealer...don't worry about it/
