He is a customer support rep, talks on the phone all day. Very OCD and can't stand crappy stuff.

His head circumference is 25" (10cm), needs a built in boom mic, and over ear, wired.

Has tried and rejected from Amazon Sennheiser GSP600, and HyperX Cloud 2. Both good, but too small, simply do not fit his head.

coincidentally received MMX300 from Amazon today, wore them an hour, says they're too small, hurt his head. Anything else?

How are they too small?
If you mean they're too tight, the metal headband (very top part covered with leatherette padding) can simply be stretched to make a more loose/comfortable fit.
