I made the dumb mistake of not unplugging one of the left satellite on my Z625 while trying to move my subwoofer to another position, breaking the metal cover of that speaker's plug. If I just put the cover back in and plug it back in the subwoofer it works, but if I try to unplug the satellite, the metal cover gets stuck inside the socket of the subwoofer. It is a real pain to get it out, and it renders the satellite useless if I try to just plug it back in, as the plug doesn't get proper contact with the socket.
So how can i fix this plug so that the cover doesn't come out again? hot glueing it?

Hot glue probably isn't accurate enough or strong enough.

I would put a drop of super glue into the metal tip and then press it onto the plug.
Should work better, since super glue bottles usually have nozzles.

Even better, would be to mix a small 2-part epoxy and carefully place a blob at the end of the inside of the metal tip with a toothpick...
Basically you want the glue as far from the 'opening' of the loose metal tip as possible, since that's where the metal needs to contact with other metal.

(Personally, I would just chop it off and resolder a new plug)
