I need help fixing these Logitech surround speakers.

The cable that goes from the center speaker into the computer has a broken cable or wire inside.  If I squish the cable about halfway down and I could get the sound.  You have to squish it just a bit.  If you do it all way it will crackle a bit or no sound.  As soon as you let go if it or twist it it's dead again.

It is possible the tiny wires are broken in the middle part of the cable?  When squishing it they all bunched together and connect to get sound again?

I would like to fix this but I am not sure how?

Maybe cut open the cable and check the wireless and then fix it with electrical tape?

As you said the "low tech" way is to y  do this -Slice open long-ways peel back and either solder the wire together  or add copper wire strands and solder them together and -super glue it together. Thats the cheap way.Or if you are "brave" then unplug the computer connector ans see if it unscrews or opens up if so replace the full length using a soldering iron.
