Help finding the right closed over ear cans

I have been scanning the forums for a few days trying to find the headphones that are right for me. I have a budget of around $250-$300. I really enjoy indie music and artists like local natives, the shins, and hundred other small bands that focus on sound clarity but once and a while will listen to some EDM or house. I want headphones that are somewhat portable but also have clear sound quality. I know everyone wants to recommend the m50s but I am worried about them because I heard they don't have a great treble. I was thinking about getting the k545 but wanted to hear other recommendations for a headphone that has a good soundstage, is comfortable and portable, but most importantly has a clear mid and treble. I don't listen to super loud music and would mostly be driving through my phone and laptop.

Assuming that you are talking closed cans, the NAD Electronics VISO HP50 and PSB M4U 1 are at the front of the pack.  See:

Theres also the polk audio ultrafocus 8000 if you want noise cancelling.
