Hi,
 
I usually use my desktop computer with an sound blaster audigy platinum breakout box for listening to music through my headphones. my computer has been super crashy of late and I've been using my laptop instead a lot. the sound quality is nowhere near as good as through the audigy. I'm looking to get a USB DAC to plug into my laptop. portability isn't a big issue for me. I mostly use it on my desk anyways. I've got a pair of AKG K81's, 550's and a pair of Shure SRH750's I'd use with it. I don't have a ton of cash to spend on it, i'm moving from canada to france in january so if things are cheaper here I'd rather get it now but I could wait if there's a nice one that's cheaper in europe.

there's actually a fiio dealer just a couple blocks from my place. maybe they have some demo units I can try out.
