I'm having a hard time deciding which IEM to get. My budget is restricted to under $200, and I would like to get something different from the IEMs that I currently have. You'd probably find me familiar if you have come across my replies/questions on Etys.

What I have currently is LW3 and SF3. Since I have a triple driver, I have no intention at the moment of getting TF10, or W3/UM3x (not a fan of Shures). Was quite tempted about TF10, but I thought with LW3, I probably won't enjoy TF10 as much now. I have a preference for BA IEMs- can't really explain why.

I have read really great reviews about Etys Er4s, plus some reviews of them fitted with custom tips. This is one option.

JH13 would be the ultimate conquest, but that has to wait till I start work next year (and I am still finding it difficult to justify spending on it). Perhaps if nothing's worth getting at the moment, I thought I'd just survive on LW3 till I can afford something premium.

Appreciate some advice.

Neither do I, but I have a local audio shop that deals direct with JH, UE and Westone.

I don't see this as a IEM collection. To be honest, I'd still take out my SF3 quite frequently and find that I still enjoy them.

Carrying an expensive IEM around can be "burdensome", like wraping cables properly, cleaning the eartips, checking your bag, making sure they're there etc.

Ka-boom, appreciate the links. I went through some of them and have decided on ER6i. Based on what I read, for the difference in price between Er4s and Er6i, and difference in sound quality and characteristics is not that drastic. Perhaps I'll reevaluate my choices after auditioning these out.

I have to quote Spyro here.

Spyro Says:
"Not even close. ER6i have great clarity and that's where it ends. Best for listening to talk radio IMHO. The ER4S and P are much more refined sounding and more dynamic. Neither will have big bass but they are both MUCH better than ER6i."

Thought I would let you see this before you place your order.
