After researching, I fininally nail down the three DACs that I "think" will fit to my system:
  1. Citypluse DA7.2x(~USD: 350)
  2. Lite DA60 (~USD: 390)
  3. Lite DA-AH(unmod) (~USD: 150)
(price above includes S/H to US)

My setup:
  1. STAX SRM313+SR404
  2. Listen to classical music (mainly piano concerto), opera, and Japanese-Pop

My origional plan was to get DA60 + DA-Ah(unmod). After e-mail Eddie (person in charge in kiydit), he mention that DA60 might not be as good as Citypluse DA7.2x

Quote:

From Eddie:
D-7.2x can be switch off fsx2 and playing just as input spdif.
Once you swith on fx2 then will oversampling itself and that is why super sharp and High defination.
DAC-ah is good choic for Vocal and it will suitable to your Japense pop song.
Dac-60 is not as Hi-Fi as D-7.2x will do.

from Eddie ("it" here referes to DA7.2x)
It is using cs-8416 input chips
Da-chip will be PCM-1796
both support 24-192khz.
It is very HI-FI in and detail and even for Classic no problem

(by the way, I would like to thanks Eddie to spend so much time e-mail me.)

I was concern with the remote and headphone out on the DA7.2x. (I believe the simplier it is, the better it gets.) What should I do?
  1. DA60 is indeed a beautiful DAC with proven performance. (DA60 is similar to Monarchy DA24)
  2. DA-Ah (unmod/mod) is a popular DAC here, and recommend by many members. (unfortunally, I didn't find someone use DAC-Ah to feed a STAX system)
  3. Citypluse DA7.2x is a new model with nice spec/first impression,(DA7.2x looks similar to CEC DA53) and fetures that I don't want.

Given the price, which one will you chose?

Links: (head-hi threads)
  1. A new 7.2x
  2. DAC-AH
  3. Which Lite DAC for me(thread regarding DA60)

Any feedback is apperciated.
