HELP: Combo DVD/VCR that isn't crap?

Short story:
- DVD died (Go Video: Good Ridance)
- Wife pushing for combo unit

Are there any combo units out there that aren't total crap?

Well, after looking around, I decided the answer is an emphatic: NO.

So I'm now a member of Team Toshiba 3960.

And, it is a decent DVD player.

(My wife will get over it).
