I'm in the process of building a steps ps for a ppa and have concerns about a tranformer I already ordered(Transformer, +/-15V 15VA model 70053). This will damage the c1 caps listed below correct?

Headphones I'll be using are the sony mdr-cd3000's on backorder(cannot measure Voltage Requirements, anyone know??)

ppa parts
8 elna cerafine 470uf/25v-c1's
AD8610AR for now( OPA627AP/637 later)
Glassmans diamond buffers(on order)
bias into class A
bass boost

The alt. transformers listed on Tangent's site are:
Alt. transformer, +/-12V 15VA 70052 –
Alt. transformer, +/-15V 25VA 70063 –
Alt. transformer, +/-12V 25VA 70062 –

Can I stick with +/-15V 15VA model 70053I have or should I choose one listed above for this particular config?

thanks

No, it won't. The regulator can be set to put out 24V, even when the unregulated side of the power supply is anywhere up to about 50V.

Yes.

As I answered to the PM you sent me, the decision comes down to heat on the regulator, not voltage to the headphones or worries about your C1 bank. Set the regulator to 20-24V and you should be fine with the headphones and C1 and the op-amps. The difference is, the 24V transformer will put a lower voltage drop across the regulator than the 30V one will, so the heat in the regulator will be lower.

Again, I'm not telling you to send the 70053 back and get a 70052. I'm just telling you what you would expect to gain by doing so. It'll work either way. One's just closer to ideal than the other.
